Saturday’s NCAA football game between the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and the New Mexico Lobos takes place at University Stadium. Hawaii’s most recent game involved San Diego State. The Warriors ended up losing by a touchdown, dropping their record at 2-5 for this campaign. Regarding New Mexico, they just played San Jose State. Following a crushing defeat in that game, the Lobos’ overall record dropped to 2-4.

Facing the Aztecs, Steven McBride had a total of 5 receptions for 157 yards, averaging 31.4 yards per catch.
In the initial 5 matches prior to the bye week, the Lobos had a shaky 2-3 record. The pair of victories came in extra time against Tennessee Tech and UMass. Otherwise, Wyoming, New Mexico State, and Texas A&M were victories for New Mexico during that time.
New Mexico State led San Jose State by a narrow margin at halftime in the match, 17-14. Yet, the Lobos lost 52-24 after giving up 24 straight points in the 3rd quarter. For the Lobos versus the Spartans, Dylan Hopkins finished 13 of 24 for 187 yards, with no touchdowns alongside an interception. Jacory Merritt ran for 68 yards on 17 carries and scored twice. D.J. Washington scored one touchdown while catching 3 passes totaling 60 yards and averaging 20.0 yards per catch.
