On Saturday September 2nd, the Houston Cougars will travel to the Alamodome to take on the UTSA Roadrunners.
Coach Jeff Traylor wants UTSA planning for the future after a 12-2 year. Even though Sincere McCormick, a running back, left to join the NFL, the Roadrunners might be the Conference USA favorites now that Bill Clark, the coach of UAB, has announced his decision to retire. Donovan Smith, a transfer from Texas Tech, ought to be a strong match to lead Holgorsen’s potent attack, but the defense needs to turn things around after surrendering 32.2 points per game the previous year.
Houston finally becomes a member of the Power 5 after waiting almost 30 years.
