One team looking to get into the fight for their conference and one that can’t find a way to victory. This Saturday, October 15, week 7 of the NCAAF brings us a game where both teams seek to leave the victory. One of them is the Ohio Bobcats who are coming off a hard-fought game against the Akron Zips, where Ohio with a very prolific offensive line would win the game with a score of 55-34. With this victory, the Ohio Bobcats arrive with a record of 3-3 and 1-1 in their conference, ranking 4th in the MAC East. In the particular duels between the two they arrive at a disadvantage since although their last confrontation was in 2019 they have only achieved a victory against the Western Michigan Broncos and it was 4 years ago, when they defeated them with a score of 14-59.
The reality of the Broncos is very different, since it comes from being defeated by another team from the same city, the Eastern Michigan Eagles with a score of 23-46 played last Saturday and where the defensive line never found a way to stop the rival offense.
Eastern Michigan comes into this match with a losing mark since they have lost 4 of 6 games played, for a mark of 2-4 and 1-1 in conference. With this negative mark Tim Lester’s team is in fourth position in the MAC west. Despite these numbers, the bets give them as favorites to leave the game, with a 60.6% probability over their rival.
Will Michigan be able to win again to fight for its conference playing at home, at Waldo Stadium or will Ohio be looking to put pressure on the top positions in its conference?
We will have to wait for this Saturday to have the answer in a duel, which, although it does not seem very attractive, could give many surprises.
