The Memphis Tigers (8-3) travel to Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, November 24th to take on the Temple Owls (3-8) in an AAC match.
The Tigers’ most recent match ended in a 38-34 loss to the SMU Mustangs. With the defeat, the Tigers were knocked out of conference title contention, but a victory on Friday would still take them to 10 wins along with their bowl matchup. In addition to contributing 3 31-yard grabs, Blake Watson rushed for 41 yards on 10 runs, with 4.1 yards per run on average, and scored a touchdown. With 8 receptions for 146 yards versus the Mustangs, Roc Taylor spearheaded the receiving attack.
The Owls lost their most recent game versus the UAB Blazers, 34-24. The Owls, who have finished three straight campaigns 3-9, are currently ranked last within the AAC. Facing the Blazers, E.J. Warner completed 25 of 46 passes for 323 yards, a pair of touchdowns, as well as an interception for the Owls. Edward Saydee gained 33 yards while carrying the ball on 8 occasions. One throw was caught by him for 8 yards. Dante Wright tallied one touchdown and gained 146 yards, with 24.3 yards per catch on average, on 6 receptions on 11 targets. 4 Owls made at least 8 stops on defense that day, including linebacker Yvandy Rigby, who surpassed the 200 career tackle milestone.
