The Buckeyes travel to face the Fighting Irish in a Week 4 matchup of top-10 college football teams, marking the eighth time since the 1935 season that these two teams have met, but only the third time under the watchful eye of Touchdown Jesus.

Ohio State has probably the best receiving corps in college football and also presents a dangerous challenge on the ground, but the offense is still finding its footing despite quarterback Kyle McCord’s efficient performance in a blowout win over Western Kentucky.
This is a rematch of last year’s opening game, which also featured two ranked teams and was won by Ohio State (who went on to make the College Football Playoff) by a score of 21-10. This year’s game is expected to have a similar impact on which teams make the semifinals.
