The AFC North’s top two teams, the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, will square off in one game. Both sides have a winning record of 2-1 heading into the game. The Baltimore Ravens have gotten off to a winning start this season.
Then in Week 3, against the Indianapolis Colts, the Ravens lost in overtime. The Baltimore Ravens are currently tied for third place in the league. The Cleveland Browns have a similar record, 2-1. Cleveland started the season with a win over the Bengals, lost at Pittsburgh in Week 2, and then crushed Tennessee in Week 3.
The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback DeShaun Watson played his finest game of the season last week. The quarterback threw for 289 yards and two scores while completing 27 of 33 passes. He took three hits but still managed to avoid turnovers. His main focus was on Amari Cooper. Cooper’s performance was remarkable, as he hauled in seven passes for 116 yards. Cooper has increased his passing yardage total for the year to 243.
The Cleveland Browns have a new running back in Jerome Ford. He’ll be starting in place of Nick Chubb, who is done for the year with injury. According to his NFL player stats, Ford not only caught a touchdown pass but also carried ten times in the victory.
The Baltimore Ravens realize they let a win slip through their fingers on Sunday. Late in the game, Matt Gay kicked a field goal while Justin Tucker missed one. His four field goals proved to be the difference as the Colts defeated the Ravens. Though he did not pass for a score, Lamar Jackson scored twice on the ground.
The Ravens have lost J.K. Dobbins for the year, and now Gus Edwards’ status for the rest of the season is uncertain. Melvin Gordon and Kenyan Drake could be asked to carry the offensive load for the Ravens. Zay Flowers had eight receptions for 48 yards in the game, bringing his season total to 698 yards, just 12 yards short of the 700-yard mark.
Baltimore ranks eighth in the NFL in points allowed per game at 18.3. According to the schedule, this is the first of the Ravens’ back-to-back road games; the last one took place at Pittsburgh.
