Sunday’s NFL game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium. As of right now, the Saints’ record for their current campaign is 3-4. They must do better at this point if they hope to have a chance to play in the playoffs. After Anthony Richardson was listed as out for the remainder of the campaign because of an injury, Minshew took over as starting quarterback for the Colts. Although the NFC South is wide open, another setback might widen the distance between New Orleans and the top spot.
After the Saints suffered their second consecutive defeat, Dennis Allen with his coaching staff restarted. The Saints lost 31–24 to the Jaguars despite having a late opportunity to stop them. Despite conceding just 18.1 points per game, New Orleans is only putting up 19 points per game, placing them 21st in the league. After serving a three-game suspension, Alvin Kamara returned to the Saints and immediately became their greatest running option as well as a formidable target. The primary receiving duo for the Saints are him and Chris Olave. According to his NFL Player Statistics, Olave remains 29 yards short of reaching 500 all-time. With Gardner Minshew in charge of the offense, there is confidence, but Indianapolis needs victories because they are trailing within the AFC South rankings.
