Gardner Minshew with the Indianapolis Colts play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6 during the 2023 NFL campaign. Because of an injury to his throwing shoulder’s AC joint, Anthony Richardson is expected to miss the contest.
The Jaguars defeated the Colts 31-21 in Week 1 and are currently tied for first place within the AFC South with them. Both teams have a record of 3-2. Last Sunday, the Colts defeated the Tennessee Titans 23-16 to end their 7-game home winless run. Jonathan Taylor made his return for the contest, but Zack Moss stole the spotlight with 23 carries totaling 165 yards with 2 scores. After competing two consecutive matches in London, where they defeated the Falcons and Bills, the Jaguars are playing on American ground for the first time in a few weeks.
The Colts’ offense gained 429 yards overall and an average of 5.7 yards per rush attempt in their victory over the Titans. They allowed the Titans to gain 348 offensive yards on defense. Gardner Minshew completed 11 of 14 passes for 155 yards but failed to throw or run for a touchdown. Minshew had a passer score of 112 when the game was over. After allowing just 89 running yards in their previous game, the Colts’ defense will be coming off a strong performance up front. The Titans managed 4.0 yards per attempt to rush during the contest. A total of 348 yards of offensive productivity were given up by Indianapolis’ defense.
With eleven points in the opening frame, the Jaguars got off to a strong offensive start against the Bills. They gained 474 total offensive yards compared to the Bills’ 388 total. For the Jaguars, RB Travis Etienne Jr. enjoyed a strong day, amassing 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns. For 315yards, Trevor Lawrence connected 67% of his passes. Buffalo’s offense passed the ball 40 times with 359 yards against Jacksonville’s defense in week 5. The Jaguars allowed the Bills to gain 388 total offensive yards on passing plays, with a completion rate of 67.5%.
