The NFL is returning to Germany, but this time it will be a matchup between the New England Patriots (2-7) and Indianapolis Colts (4-5) as they will square off in Frankfurt at Frankfurt Stadium on November 12th.
The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Carolina Panthers 27–13 in their most recent matchup. The starting quarterback, Gardner Minshew, completed 17 of 26 attempts for 127 yards passing, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Jonathan Taylor finished first on the squad with 47 running yards and with eight receptions for 64 receiving yards, Michael Pittman Jr. topped the receivers. After struggling during a losing streak, the defense turned things around with two pick-6s from Kenny Moore II. He now has made 61 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three interceptions, and seven TFL thus far this season. The Colts may challenge for the playoffs if the defense can perform as well as it did against the Panthers.
Indianapolis now looks strong with Jonathan Taylor back as they also have Zack Moss who leads the Indianapolis Colts rushing game with 615 yards and 5 touchdowns, with an average of 123.3 yards per game.
Last week, the Patriots’ bad luck continued when Mac Jones’ late-game interception deprived New England the opportunity to overcome the Washington Commanders. This is the team’s worst start since 2000, the year of Bill Belichick’s debut. Starting quarterback, Mac Jones, finished with 24 of 44 passes for 220 yards passing, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. Rhamondre Stevenson, the lead running back, had 87 rush yards and one touchdown and that was his third touchdown of the year. Without a receiving score, Stevenson has accumulated 29 receptions for 215 yards. On forty occasions in the passing game, he has been targeted.
New England’s defense gives up 333.4 yards and 25.3 points per game. Kyle Dugger has two interceptions, Matthew Judon has four sacks, and Ja’Whaun Bentley is leading the New England Patriots with 68 tackles.
