At this point in the 2023 NFL season, the Dolphins have a 2-0 record. Getting out to a winning start by winning both of their road games before returning to Hard Rock Stadium for Week 3 is ideal. Sunday afternoon sees the undefeated Miami Dolphins host the Denver Broncos, and the oddsmakers are predicting another strong performance from the Dolphins.
One of the teams with improved Super Bowl odds is the Miami Dolphins, and with good reason. The Miami Dolphins are off to a tremendous start, and in Week 3 they’ll host the Denver Broncos, who are winless after blowing a 21-3 lead to the Washington Redskins.
After dropping consecutive games at home, Denver is a heavy underdog against Miami. There is some doubt as to whether or not injured Dolphins Terron Armstead, Jaelan Phillips, and Jaylen Waddle will play. Could the Dolphins improve to 3-0 and maintain their AFC East lead?
Marvin Mims Jr., a rookie wide receiver for Denver, caught two catches for 113 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Denver’s offense looked solid in Week 2, scoring 33 points, and he is the team’s biggest deep threat.
Russell Wilson looked like the top version of himself in the first half against Washington. After taking a 21-3 lead into halftime, Denver’s offense stalled and they were unable to score again. Which Wilson makes an appearance in Miami?
After being gashed by Brian Robinson Jr. and Antonio Gibson on the ground and in the short passing game in Week 2, the Broncos could be in for a huge day from Raheem Mostert this week. With Salvon Ahmed out, Miami may be down to starting with just Mostert and rookie De’Von Achane.
In the first game, Jakobi Meyers scored twice, and in the second game, Washington scored 35 points over Denver. Tyreek Hill Hill may see a large volume of targets this Sunday with Jaylen Waddle going through concussion protocol. However, he’ll have to face Denver’s excellent No. 1 cornerback, Patrick Surtain II.
