Prelims Fight Preview
The first fight features Diego Lopes versus Sodiq Yusuff. Don’t undervalue this contender for Fight of the Night. The gift that never stops is Lopes. In May of last year, he made his highly anticipated debut by coming close to defeating the rated featherweight Movsar Evloev.
He confronts Yusuff, a more technically proficient striker who had just lost to Edson Barboza in the Fight of the Night. Yusuff will likely have to lean into the energy despite his best efforts to control him.

Kayla Harrison will face Holly Holm in the Bantamweight division. A blemish was saved from Holly Holm’s (15-6(1)) record when Mayra Bueno Silva failed a drug test. It’s been reversed to a “no contest,” as she has gone 3-1(1) in her previous five. She now welcomes UFC fighter Kayla Harrison (16-1) to the fold. The judo Olympian made a smooth transition to mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2018, winning 14 matches for the PFL.
Onto the featherweight division, Calvin Kattar will go up against Aljamain Sterling. Calvin Kattar seems to finally be caught up in all of the conflicts (23–7). He faced off against a number of featherweight competitors and won three consecutive “Fight of the Night” events. He toes the featherweight water and is greeted back in the cage by Aljamain Sterling (23-4). At bantamweight, he had an amazing run, winning more title defenses than supporters.
The last preliminary fight is Aleksandar Rakic against Jiri Prochazka. Jiri Prochazka (29-4-1) won three bouts in a row to claim the UFC light heavyweight championship. His wins concluded an amazing 10-fight winning run. After missing out on a battle nearly two years ago due to a blown knee during a match against Jan Blachowicz (2022), Aleksandar Rakic (14-3) is back on the same mission.
