Postol, in contrast, lost in his most recent fight versus Gary Antuanne Russell back in 2022. An Armenian-Russian, Postol is one of the most exciting fighters in all of boxing with an 87% knock out rate – one he hopes to add to when taking on Rodriguez next time around. He currently holds a 31-4 record, winning 12 by knockout.
Postol, a former WBC junior welterweight champion with a 31-4 record and 12 knockouts, is currently 39 years old. In a title unification fight against Terence Crawford in July 2016, he suffered his first loss by unanimous decision. In October 2015, Postol stopped Argentine Lucas Matthysse in the tenth round to win the vacant WBC title. Postol is known as a skilled boxer who packs his blows. He has fought mostly in Ukraine, and when he defeated Matthysse, he advanced significantly in standing.
