The two teams last met at Ypsilanti, Michigan on November 14, 2015, a game that Massachusetts won 28-17. UMass gained 330 total yards on the ground, including 200 in the opening half, in their victory. UMass’s first touchdown of the day was scored by Marquis Young, who rushed for a game-high 168 yards on 32 carries.
On October 18, 2014, at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, the Minutemen defeated the Patriots by a score of 36-14 in the series’ inaugural matchup.
