Their winning strategy will be based on a potent offensive. The Tigers, who are ranked 7th in the country, are among the select few that have a passer with 3,000 yards and a rusher with 1,000 yards, averaging 38.2 points per contest. The defense has performed almost as poorly as the offense has. They are 125th in the country when it comes to pass defense and 90th in terms of points permitted per game. Memphis’s offense, led by quarterback Seth Henigan, is among the most effective in the nation; the Tigers are ranked 7th in the nation in terms of scoring offense (39.7 points per game) and 14th in terms of passing yards per game (301.7).
