The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals Week 3 matchup is one of the greatest betting mismatches of the NFL season.
The Cowboys have been absolutely dominant, as seen by their 3-0 record against New York clubs and their combined 70-10 victory margin. Micah Parsons and the defense have caused havoc, and the offense keeps scoring to put the opposition in an even more difficult position from which to fight back.
Dak Prescott has thrown for 398 yards and two touchdowns, and the Cowboys’ defense, led by Micah Parsons, has been solid as well. In Week 2’s matchup with the Jets, CeeDee Lamb racked up 143 receiving yards and the defense picked off three passes.
On opening day, the Cardinals were defeated by the Washington Commanders. They were up 28-7 against the New York Giants in the third quarter of Week 2, but they let the lead slip away by allowing 31 unanswered points. While Joshua Dobbs threw for 228 yards and a touchdown, James Conner rushed for 106 yards.
Despite being a rebuilding team, Arizona’s 20-0 halftime lead over the struggling New York Giants seemed like a promising start to the season. Instead, it blew a three-score lead in the second half and lost 31-28. Arizona fans are starting to wonder if and when their club will achieve its first victory of the year.
The chances of the Cardinals pulling off an upset this weekend are low. After all, they just threw away a huge lead against the same New York Giants club that the Cowboys dominated 40-0 in Week 1.
The defense for Dallas has been phenomenal this season. The defense is allowing only 193.0 yards per game and 3.5 yards per play, both of which rank last in the NFL. Also, the Cowboys have the most takeaways (7) and are tied for the most sacks (10) with the Washington Commanders.
As a matter of fact, in Arizona’s season-opening loss to Washington, the Cardinals gave up six sacks for 46 lost yards, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Micah Parsons and company have similar success on Sunday.
