The main event of UFC Brazil: Jailton Almeida vs. Derrick Lewis features a heavyweight bout between Rodrigo Nascimento and Dontale Mayes this Saturday, Nov 4 in an intriguing battle that may help shape both men’s future.

In order to hold Nascimento at bay and hit another countering right as he tries to get close enough to execute a takedown, he will need to use his front kicks and jab. Mayes has a real potential to start his first winning run in the UFC and reclaim the victory he has been yearning for if he succeeds in maintaining this match on the feet.
In a rematch, these two heavyweights square off to determine who is the more dominant of the two. Although Nascimento’s previous two fights ended in close split decisions, he has recently appeared to be among the top 15 fighters in the world. He demonstrated his striking prowess against Ilir Latifi and his dominant grappling skills against Tanner Boser. Going into this encounter versus Mayes, he is well-positioned due to his ability to adjust to his opponent.
