Just recently , Tafa suffered his first loss in his professional career. In April of this year, he made his UFC debut with a unanimous decision victory over Mohammed Usman. He has won 13 bouts, with six coming via knockout and the other seven via submission or unanimous decision. Four of these wins came in the very first round. Interestingly, four of his eight defeats were decided by knockout.
His precision with the strike is 51%, while his success with takedowns is only 27%. His ability to land 6.66 punches per minute while taking 6.34, thus canceling each other out, is simply remarkable.
Also, it’s important to consider that his significant strike defense remains at 52%, and his even more attractive takedown defense at 67% is a major selling point. As an example of his all-around ability, in a 15-minute fight he averages 1.38 takedowns and 0.46 submissions.
